  1. Please, please! Don't be so dramatic! There is not now, nor has there ever been, any great administrative or political conspiracy to quell my literary forays. My psyche has simply fallen victim to the incredibly inane, terminally boring, criminally illiterate postings on this site. (Loki and Radagast excepted). I have, therefore, availed myself of a much needed intellectual hiatus from this corrupting influence. You can't honestly believe that someone as opinionated as I, would stop posting at the request of someone else! And why in the world would Santos order me to refrain from singing his

Jimbo, Thank you for recognizing both my absence and my wit. Since I surmise just a hint of gloating, let me assure you that my silence is self-imposed (an intelligent person can absorb just so much "brain crap" before becoming saturated); and certainly not the result of any undertaking of yours or any other contributor to this site. Contrary to your assessment, I am in neither a state of surrender nor retreat, but simply reconnoitering for another day, while you recycle the same old, worn rhetoric. January 3rd saw "my people" take the oath of office in Kearny for four more years, so as Jeb
  3. Sorry to disappoint you. I'm fit as a fiddle---a Stradivarius, of course. Just color me "The Chairman Of The Bored" since the postings have become so inane. BTW: I haven't lost my dictionary, but it appears many on this site have never even used one. Good Christmas request!
  4. Lord, build a bridge where stood a wall To connect the sameness in us all. For all the differences that be, On this one thing we all agree-- America, America, God shed His grace on thee! Happy and blessed Thanksgiving to everyone on this site and to all Americans, old and new, wherever they may be.
  5. Thanks for noticing! God, you are so easy! I had a bet with my son that if I refrained from posting for the duration of the convention, the old guess-fest would resurface. I'm on my way to Applebees' to collect on the wager. Applebees'...you know...the restaurant that was never going to happen! P.S. If I don't post over Christmas, does it mean that I'm Santa Claus? Ho, ho, ho!

Your understanding is incorrect. At 6659 votes, Kearny's percentage was slightly over 40%---right about the state average. If you obtained your information from the calculations released on Election Night, you need to get the amended data from Town Hall. How could you even consider that in a town with a total population of approximately 40,000, there could be 33,755 registered voters?

Well, aren't we full of ourself? You're not the only poster on this site! I wasn't responding to YOU. Pay attention! If you had actually read the sequence, you would know that I was responding to post #23, November 11th from "Unsure". Not so nice try! (But it does prove my point about your not being able to resist reading my posts...and replying!)

You know, when individuals make snide remarks about the sexuality of others, it's usually because they are unsure of their own sexual identity, Sweets.

Chuckle, Chuckle! Oh, I KNOW how to spell "hypocrisy", but you don't KNOW how to spell KNOW! Loki, I'm sooooo disappointed by your name calling. It's so unlike you, Hun. (That's Hun, as in Attila the...!)

"But" nothing. Your rhetoric stinks. Of the voters who cared enough to go to the polls, over 4300 voted for Santos and only 48 actually voted against him. You can't consider the eligibles who didn't show because they have the potential to go either way. You can't assume that all those who didn't vote are anti-Santos. That's like saying your favorite football team had the potential to score three touchdowns but actually crossed the goal line only once. Percentages, possibilities, ratios, demographics and wishful thinking count for nothing. When the game is over, the only stat that counts is the

As pointed out many times, right here on this site, with the write-in option available and so easy, every voter has a choice. That's not a valid excuse anymore.

Oh well, if Rush pronounces this to be the truth...then it must be! I just find it difficult to trust the assessment of a white collar addict of privilege who repeatedly lies about his addiction to everyone including himself.
  14. Absolutely! You saw the tremendous effect the "message" had on the General Election! (You know that was sarcasm, right?)

Dems did not move the deadline! The Court engineered that whole process. (Now, of course, you'll claim that the Courts are controlled by the liberal left.) The McGreevey strategy was a stroke of genius and if the Republicans were in the same situation, they would have done exactly the same thing...provided they had someone bright enough to think of it! Loki, why would I even entertain the idea that your post was tainted with the taste of sour grapes? (He asked with a wry smile and condescending tone.) Hypocrisy? Plenty of that to go 'round. Particularly in Mr. Forrester's self-righteous decl
