That's a joke. The Zombies that know nothing other than to vote Row A will continue to support whoever they're told to vote for.
They sometimes go to Row B when the Demorats lose the coveted Row A all the way.

The December 1st meeting of the council has been canceled.
The Mayor must of have caught wind of the amount of residents that were going to attend and instead of walking out of a meeting while taxpayers are commenting, he just decided it would be easier to cancel the meeting and hold it when it's not possible for them to attend.
Communism (oh, wait, I mean democracy) in action in Harrison.

Would he be happy that one of the few green spaces in town, the John F. Kennedy Stadium along the Passaic River, was sold to a developer to build housing and they have failed to complete the project as promised?
Don't forget that for years before President Kennedy's assassination, that stadium was named Rodgers Stadium.

The Mayor and Council have just sh*t their pants.

Everyone says that they are going to run for Mayor..........WHY??????????? They are just trying to feel and look important, so people listen to their B.S. What they should be saying is that they WANT a JOB.............For themselves or a family member..................My guess he'll be working in B.O.E. in no time.........Nonsense..........
He already works for the Board of Education. His man got him in on the sly.

Aren't we getting a little tired of Spanish pavillion trying to get free advertising???
Then when you see an ad from the Spanish Pavillion, ignore it. I personally happen to enjoy their food and don't mind them using this FREE forum to drum up a little business.

KOTW is wrong. It was not two trees, it was three trees. Do the redevelopers plan to knock down the trees on the other side of Frank E. Rodgers? When do they plan on planting the new trees and how mature will those trees be when they first plant them? Does anyone know?
Have no fear, the Mayor and Council will pass a Bond Ordinance for $15 million dollars to purchase 2 new trees. All is well in Harrison.

When you learn how to spell the word, we'll consider a dress code.
You used the word 4 times, and spelt it 2 different ways.
You're correcting someone else's spelling? Too funny. "Spelt"???? Try spelled.
Check this out: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/spelt
I rest my case.

I noticed some of the young teachers in Harrison have tattoos. What kind of example does this set for the young children attending class. Start having a dress code to hide these tatoos on teachers. I do not want my child saying they want tattoos because the teacher has one. And in my opinion how can a school system want hire these kind of people. What is this town coming to.

The Mayor, by law, is a member of each and every town Board and/or Agency simply by being Mayor.
You people are rediculous, petty, ignorant, angry, wanttabe's. Joe clearly embarrased himself and did not appear to be literate, it's simply a fact, watch the video. You'll also see what actors the McComics are. John Pinho simply likes the spotlight.
If he is legally a member of every board, why does he choose to appoint himself on paper to the Redevelopment Agency and Planning board?

Really sad how some of you people think you know whats going on, or want to come as having inside info... doran's silence is loud? You are an idiot.
The people that replied to you are correctomundo. Doran is giong to be the next OJ. Super/Council. Check mate. This thread is now over.
It's now against the law to be an elected official and be the Super of the same municipality's school district. OJ was grandfathered in.

I'm happy to report, that former US Attorney General for New Jersey will run for Governor of New Jersey.
I'm sure that htis news will thrill Pete, Ray and the redevelopment folks.
New Reporter
I'm voting for him. I'd vote for him in a heartbeat. He is what this state needs, as long as he continues what he started while he was US Attorney. Ray and cronnies, watch out!!

I'm sorry to say with the fear of the machine a new mayor is out of the question. If Jimmy Doran decides to run the future of Harrison that can be changed.
That is a Christmas gift only Jimmy can give Harrison. In my opinion only Jimmy could fix what Pete , Bob and Ray have broken.
Merry Christmas to all in Harrison.
New Reporter
Jimmy is part of the problem, not part of the solution.

The Jersey City PD just hjad a smart car donated to them by the JC Police Foundation. The car iis built by Mercedes Benz and cost $14,800. They are going to use it at the Hudson Mall.
How about getting the companies in the redevelopment area to donate a smart car to the HPD. It could have many uses.
They're too busy donating to McDonough's campaign.

According to the Hudson County Clerk's website, we have new council members:
Mayor: Raymond McDonough
Council Members:
Laurence M. Bennett
Michael T. Dolaghan
Joseph L. Wood
Maria J. Camano
Caroline Mandaglio
Maria McCormick
Francisco Nascimento
Victor Villalta
Mix up, or the real winners?

Talking about the Red Bulls coming to Harrison:
"This is a long time coming. This is going to generate jobs, not all full-time jobs, but it's going to create part-time jobs for people to make additional money," McDonough said. "People can't wait. You better get your season tickets early, because they're not going to be available. They're going to sell out immediately."
Whatever he's on, I'll take a double dose.

It is a violation of someone's 1st ammendment right to tell them they can not display a flag.
The ACLU would be all over this in a heartbeat.

There was a dead body found in the hotel last week. This is totally seperate from the incident on Sussex St.

He has proven he is incompetent. He does not know how to run this town, and it's time to get him out of office. We CAN'T wait until we vote again in November, 2009 - it will be too late.

New Jobss being created

On Thursday, February 18, 2010 the Mayor and Council will hold a special meeting at 12:30pm to introduce an ordinance to create the position of Traffic Control Officer at a maximum pay rate of $25.00 per hour.
In the economic turmoil that has befallen Harrison (due to poor fiscal management on behalf of everyone in Town Hall), and 40+ people being laid off, the town will be creating new jobs (presumably for traffic control at the Red Bulls stadium).
What happened to the hiring freeze?
