Is there one this year? Usually at the beginning of June but I haven't seen any signs.
The powers that be claim there is no money!!!!! wait to November elections, the Mayor will throw all kinds of things in, perhaps even a new sidewalk here and there for the votes, remember this then. No money for the things Harrison needs to keep the community together and to get to know one another as the Harrison Fest did, the Holloween parade the circus that came every summer with the help of the Fired Dept... all is now gone, there is nothing uniting or inviting the neighborhood to gather and have fun.... UNTIL THE ELECTIONS IN NOVEMBER... WAIT AND SEE. It is truly a shame that these powers that be cannot listen to what Harrison and its residents realy need.
thank you

Yes, the Harrison Fest was always held in June. As a mater of fact it was always the weekend before the June primary elections. It was started a political ploy to get people together and let everyone see what a great community Harrison was, hoping to get votes for the administration. In resent years the fest has become a disgrace, with mostly sales of used clothing and second hand junk. Drinking and roundness has cast a different light on what Harrison has become, and it is no longer politically advantages to continue the fest. More long time residents have become disenchanted with the administration.

WHAT WE NEED IS A JOB FEST-NOT A SPIC FEST
The Fest was a tribute to the Town the first two years. I think Tony Comprelli ran it then. He got the teachers involved and it was outstanding! The last few years were a disgrace. Any respectable Harrisonian wouldn't be caught dead attending. That's the problem, there aren't many Harrisonians left. They all went to the Jersey Shore. The last fest was a drunken junk sale. I'm glad we don't have to put up with that anymore. It wasn't safe or even fun for the kids, or anyone else for that matter.
