Why do the Mayor and Council need to hire consultants to tell them what the impact from development will be on traffic and schools.
Don't the Mayor and Council drive around town? Have they ever tried to park on Boston, Baltimore, Gold, Noel, or numerous other streets in town?
Have they ever driven from Lyndhurst to the Belleville Pike along Schuyler Ave. at 8:00AM or 5:00PM on a weekday?
Have they ever driven from the Belleville Pike along Ridge Rd and tried to go past Queen of Peace and North Arlington High School at 2:00 to 3:00PM on a weekday?
Have they ever tried to park at the Little League Field and watch a game?
Have they walked the halls of the schools in town to see if they are crowded?
Have they looked at all of the Colonials and Cape Cods in town that are being expanded and wondered if the families living in them are having more children or selling to families with more children?
Do they see the MacMansions being built in town and wonder if they will have larger families in them with more children?
Do they really believe, or expect us to believe, that the new development will only generate 8 new school age children?
Do they really think senior citizens need housing with $300,000 to $400,000 price tags.
Use your heads Mayor and Council. Save the consulting fees, by some gas, and take a few rides around town.
