Guest Guest
Oh my goodness you are not kidding! And so many near-accidents from people swerving around the potholes. Somebody is going to get hurt.
Guest Guest
Every day I see many town employees driving around in town vehicles but I have seen NO ONE, NOT ONE EMPLOYEE, doing anything to fill in the potholes. This is not a cosmetic issue, this is a public safety issue that needs to be addressed before someone gets hit by a car that is trying to avoid losing a tire in a pothole. Guest Guest
Our roads s*ck. please fill the pot holes. Can the Town be liable for damge to my tires and rims? its cheaper to pay for damages than it is to pave...plus, the town has to play "Mother May I" to the State Controller before they can do ANYTHING. Make your complaints in writing to the Town, and also send copies to your state Legislators...... Of course that sort of thing only wprks of your "Representatives" actually gave a damn about the people who elect them.
Guest Harrisonian
Let's make a list of pot holes here so that we can get them filled in. I will start with all the potholes as you get on 280 ramp Westbound at Cleveland Avenue. THOSE should be filled in by the Department of Transportation? Isn't that just a call to the Department of Transportation telling them that the pot holes are so big that you need to close that ramp down tomorrow unless they come and fill them in. That will get their attention. What's your favorite pothole in town. Take a picture and post it here.
Guest We Need Help
Do we have a DPW any more? Streets are impassable. I know Fife is home from hospital but who is in charge? Piggy bank is empty with no relief in sight. May be the residents should take up a collection and fill in the pot holes! Unbelievable. Guest Guest
The largest pot hole is on Hamilton Stereet between Franklin and Schuyler Ave. It is so large they have closed the street for eight months. It is still sinking. If it is not fixed soon it will consume the Harrison Gardens. Where are the politicians, something has to be done fast. Guest Guest
can;t wait for winter to come, so the snow can fill in all the holes. when are they going to start to fill them in ?
Guest Guest
Park legally and you won't receive a ticket !! Simple as that !! In Harrison, even if you park illegally you wont receive a ticket. There is a black car that parks in the crosswalk at William and Kingsland every night and does not receive a ticket. Should I complain to the chief or the Police Commissioner? Guest Just fix them
When this thread was started it was at the end of a tough winter. The weather did a lot of damage to the streets and left very uneven surfaces & dangerous potholes. All of us assumed that these would be filled/smoothed during the Spring & Summer when the weather was amenable. We are now deep into Fall and nothing has been done. Many streets are in horrible condition. This is causing damage to vehicles and creating unsafe conditions as cars & bikes swerve to avoid the potholes. Is this going to be worked on before this winter or is this as good as it gets? Of all years, I would expect this to be fixed during an election year so the electorate can see something being done by our elected leaders. Guest Guest
The current elected officials could care less about you the resident. Doran's $200,000 a year salary would go a long way to fill pot holes and hire more PD and FD. How about all of his friends and family on the payroll you the resident pays for?? Guest guest
The worst part of life in corruptionville is the attorneys for the town and the HBOE whom we pay high salaries to, work like mob lawyers shielding Doran.Dollaraghn,Fife,etc.
