With an attitude towards the citizens you are supposed to be serving such as you've shown, you WONDER why noone has any sympathy for you?? Or maybe people remember when the KFD Officers settled theyr contract early, and made LOTS of concessions that they knew wouldnt be honored once the rank and file won their contract...Last i looked the Officers werent paying that 50% Co-pay on their Health Insurance that they agreed to. This is not work. Just a web site. I can let off steam! Just like you. At work We are always polite and willing to help out with anything the citizens need. I think you are off base to compare statements on this web site to our jobs. But with that said, You are right about a attitude I should have toned it down, but after 5 years it is insane the way we are treated. I keep posting to remind the taxpayers like myself that this issue is costing us the taxpayers big$$$ for a legal fight that did not have to be. Now you must ask, did the town put away the $$$$ for the last 5 years? I do not think so. So with this in mind 5 completed years without a contract is WRONG. How could you resent their pay and benefits. I would bet anything if the people who are posting ..go get another job...ever had a fire in their homes or a buglary they would be the first to scream and yell that the fire department did not respond fast enough or the police did nothing about the situation. If you are so concerned about your taxes why not fight to find a better way to fund schools. It is not the salaries and pensions making your taxes go up. It is the waste, mismangement of funds, the unecessary jobs, Town Attorney pension's and benefits,double dippers and the constant borrowing from the pension funds, etc. etc. etc. PS: I am not a Town Worker, policemen or fireman, state worker, or teacher. just an ordinary working class person.
