Guest Dennis Castro
It is disappointing that the residents of Kearny and Harrison do not have the heart to fund ethnic diversity festivals and establish charitable resources for minorities looking to call these towns home. A special property tax assessment of $300 to $500 should be charged to promote events encouraging African Americans, Hispanics, Muslims, transgender people and undocumented dreamers to establish roots in Kearny and Harrison. Affordable Section 8 housing must be a top priority. Student integration programs, free or reduced price breakfast and lunches, subsidized laptops and WiFi would be progressive steps. A Kearny/Harrison Towncard preloaded with taxpayer funded monetary amounts to help with everyday expenses should be initiated ASAP. Please get on board with this effort and tell a friend. Guest Grace
A special property tax assessment of $ 300 to $ 500? That on top of the regular tax increase? People are forced to cut back every year to meet the rising cost of property tax. You've got to be kidding. How old are you? Do you pay rent or property tax? How can you even think that? Guest KPDRetired1
I'm assuming that that was Sarcasm....but then again, considering the entitlement mentality that has run rampant...you just have to wonder.
