Actually there is a sizable amount of data that has been collected from ice cores and deep sea deposits. They can give scientists a relatively accurate idea of what the earth atmospheric composition was like during a given time. Sorry to go back at you like but your response to my original post seemed to be more of a knee jerk reaction. Please do some research on climatology.
