I recently moved to Harrison. Read the Observer article regarding this case. Amazing that the mayor is so out of touch that he doesn't even know how long this drunk driver has been working for the town? Shouldn't this dealt with ASAP? Does anyone here have a backbone? What will the head of the DPW do? Shouldn't this be a priority? And this is his ****** DWI? What a town!?!

Ok, he was over the legal limit, results reported to dmv. Where does it say he has to lose his job. Why is that he is held to higher standard. Perhaps, he should be suspended for the duration of license revocation + additional time.

According to the Observer article, the bail, 10% of $1000.00 seems like a deal for someone who was nearly three times over the legal limit and assaulted this poor man, nearly killing him.

Was there special treatment here, since he is a town employee?

Funny how results from DWI test were found so quickly and charges filed immediately. It took months to get results to see if Wrong Way Pedro was DWI.

what planet, are you on ? the cops made this guy blow into a machine ,that can record what amount of alcohol is in his blood ! this is done right at the scene,of the violation,or accident .yes the results are instantly shown.

Big difference between using the Alcotest, where you get the results immediately, and having to do a Duces Tecum Warrant to force a Hospital to divulge medical records.

Guest Mr Cosman.

Let him pay the consequences for his actions just like everyone else would. Being ''one of the boys'' in the town shouldn't ever come into play, Only the law should.

Disqualification for major violations. Below we list the causes for a “major violation.” The first violation for a major violation, in a CMV or a non-CMV, results in a 1-year disqualification (or a 3-year disqualification if transporting hazardous materials required to be placarded). The second violation for a major, in a CMV or a non-CMV, results in a lifetime disqualification. The driver may be eligible for reinstatement under certain conditions after 10 years. Major violations include:

It's called "due process" until he is convicted he still has his CDL. One he is CONVICTED then, his license is suspended, and AT THAT POINT any administrative penalties can be exercised.

Guest No reply= no true justice!

A man gets wasted, gets behind the wheel drunk, runs over an old man. Because he is a town worker and is protected by a few big chiefs, He gets off with no punishment. Is that what it comes down to? Does this give a pass to every town worker to do what they want, Without worry of prosecution. What if the man that got run over was Doran or Fife? Then what would happen?. How would that come into play ?
