Guest eyes wide open
I must say I'm in total shock about what that building looks like inside total mess .I can not even believe it's operational, is the building dept blind or just do not care because boe does not have to pay for permits . Shame On whoever has involvement to let it come to this.
Guest too bad
So very sorry to hear about this. Where has the supervision been, for these many years, over this project? Is it time to call in the State? Is this environment safe for students and teachers? Pity the poor property taxpayers!
Guest Devin
We should contact the state or local officials. Our taxes are going to waste and the Mayor does not care!! Education system plays a big role in the community.
Guest guest
The Mayor has nothing to do with the schools. The work at the High School is being done. I have seen areas repaired already destroyed by students. Good up bringing. Would love to see their house. The BOE is doing a good job. Guest eyes wide open
I hope the public understand it does not matter what politicians sit on the board the problem comes internal ,unless u change the players the game will stay the same. Guest Leo
LOL every City says the Mayor has nothing to do with the BOE but a Mayor is influential to the BOE. Everyone is politically connected! Kearny education system is failing. Maybe once it was good but now even the teachers complain about the system. Maybe its time for a change in the administration. Guest Lina
You are correct the Mayor has nothing to do with the school system but the MAYOR should voice his concerns about the education system!

Guest Eyes wide open
I do not understand how a employee that was wrongfully terminated comes up in this post. Has anyone publicly appoligized? Why wouldn't he be entitled to any monies he would have earned if he was there working . All this anomisity does not explain why the highschool looks like it should be condemned .i just hope when my child which is now in preschool can attend this highschool finished! All this anomisity does not explain why the highschool looks like it should be condemned .i just hope when my child which is now in preschool can attend this highschool finished!First of all you asked where is the the rest of the windows, right? The answer to that question was how basically they pissed the money away and continue to foolishly spend it.Second who told you this employee was wrongfully terminated? I got a bridge for you to buy if you believe that, but from your content of what you wrote you know more or believe what you were fed. Remember leadbeater thought he was getting away with what he did and it all caught up to him. Our country western loving hill pig will be singing on the road again. Guest Merely Superstitious
There are updates given? Gee, that's fantastic. Wake up Kearny, your school system is in a shambles, not just the HS. It was definely in shambles under ****** the ***** and his Fabulous Five Farts. It was so bad everyone knew it would take a decade to fix. The funny thing is that the improvements started and the healing began the second the ***** went back to **. Kudos to the board, **** *****, the administrators, the teachers and staff for working together to get the district moving forward again. Franklin School classrooms and the Lincoln Middle School opened, the district centralized its operations at its Midland Ave facility and the project at KHS began moving again. New windows are in with the rest on order. The job is out to bid with construction to start in January. I think Stevie Wonder can see things are tremendously better than they were and are getting better every day. You should open your eyes. Edited October 18, 2015 by KOTW Content. Guest Sad
There are updates given? Gee, that's fantastic. Wake up Kearny, your school system is in a shambles, not just the HS. You're absolutely right. How about this board not being able to even settle expired contracts? There was no problems coming to terms with prior boards. How about board member ******* quoted in The Observer as saying "he hopes they have enough money to finish the high school project". Where did the money go ? The project has been cut way back and you still may not have the money ???? Poor decisions being made by not so intelligent people.
