An incident in Harrison a while back needs rehashing to shine light on the bravery, steely resolve and intel skills of the HPD. A crazed man had murdered several family members and gotten a head start on Harrisons Finest after commiting the brutal crime. The HPD was faced with a killer at large and a real life, "who done it?" HPD technological advances developed by sharp minded sleuths (facial recognition) at the HPD were used to identify the murderer at large. The HPD worked day and night on their own time with a full court press and one of NJ most wanted, public enemy number 1, was apprehended after a violent struggle with the physically fit HPD Officers. No stone wad left unturned. The crazed suspect had been brought to justice starting in an HPD prisoner cell. Thank God, America and the highly trained HPD Officers.

When is the town going to hire minorities ?? Does the town think the state won't press the issue yet once again imbred family members don't count . I hope the funding asked this year comes with a big slap of minorities running all depts watch the racist burn their robes in south jersey

There was the only one EVER black Firefighter in Harrison. He went out on 2/3 total disability pension with full backing and approval of the Fire Chief about 10 years ago. The Chief testified that he was an excellent employee fully deserving of a full disability and health insurance benefits paid directly by the Harrison residents. He then took a job as a paid Firefighter in the Carolinas and was arrested for pension fraud. He may have gotten some jail time but that's doubtful. Taxpayers are angry for all the money they spent and still pay in taxes to support the thousands of other fake Firefighter disabilities. Mix in all the ones who get the automatic 40% drug addict pensions and its an enormous cost. Now Governor Sweeney is giving them raises. Get ready for those hefty pension taxes that will take another 2 weeks pay a year out of every working individuals pocket.
