Is it true that there will be a changing of the guard at PVSC in the next few months? Wayne Forest will get on his white horse and ride off into the sunset proud of what he was able to do, in distroying the sprit and lives of 200 familes and walking them off the plant like common criminals. Is it true that Mr Forest is in line for a judgeship??? Will that be his reward for the damage that he has done in his mismanagment as a result of having no wastewater experience?? Is FAILING THE DEP PERMIT 3 MONTHS IN A ROW a record to be proud of in this ride into the sunset?????? The courts will answer many questions in what was done here and the lawyers will be billing many hours in sorting out all the damage that was done here. My prediction is after many millions of dollars PVSC spend defending this heartless assault on common working people, the final outcome will truely be on the side of the people who were victimized by this senseless action that certainly hurt the services that are provided to the ratepayers.

shut your mouth go back to your security job that your buddy jim got you then hired your wife and her brother inlaw some no body from newark. that household still thinks just because their member was a local cop the people have to kiss their ass!

Its interesting that since Hurricane Sandy the brain trust at PVSC after throwing 200 honest hardworking employees off the plant like common criminals have decided to replace Honest Employees with you got it Common Ex Criminals. With unemployment at high levels in New Jersey this Governor Chistie has reorganized PVSC with EX CONS after he said he was cleaning out the corruption at PVSC. He has turned this plant into a run away train with no end in sight. This Plant is still not up and running with SEWRAGE still flowing into our waterways. This Director has no action plan and by putting EX INMATES to work makes no sense after terminating 200 employees that were never offered a second chance but instead were thrown to the streets by Wayne Forest and Governor Chistie SHAME ON YOU GOVERNOR FOR REWARDING CRIMINALS OVER HONEST HARD WORKING EMPLOYEES.

With all the scandals that are swirling around this Governor I believe these investigations will find its way to the doorsteps of PVSC. Is it true the Director spoke to the EMPLOYEES and instructed them not to talk to the MEDIA about the 200 EMPLOYEES that were fired for no reason. What if true does this Director have to hide? Get ready Director the investigation is coming your way!!!!

The real story will be told as to what this Governor did to the 200 people he threw out like dogs and the harm he did to these 200 families. Judgement Day is here and he and Wayne Forest will answer for this reckless act of injustice on working familes.

Highlights from todays criminal trial of former PVSC employees:

A Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission carpenter testified in state court Thursday that his supervisor ordered him to work on the homes of an agency officials mother and girlfriend while on the clock.

Paterson resident Anthony Ardis, a former PVSC supervisor and ethics violations officer, and Northvale Mayor Paul Bazela, a former PVSC carpentry shop foreman, allegedly breached the public trust and misused public authority by exploiting agency electricians and carpenters, the state contends. The two directed workers to perform personal projects at friends and relatives homes, all on the company clock and without reimbursement, authorities said.

PVSC carpenter Joseph Manary, of Wayne, testified Thursday under questioning by Deputy Attorney General Jeffrey Manis that he installed a microwave and wood paneling at Ardis mothers Paterson home, and air conditioners at Ardis girlfriends house in Totowa, at the direction of Bazela, his immediate boss.

The state rested its case Wednesday in the trial of two Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission supervisors accused of ordering agency electricians and carpenters to perform personal work at the homes of their friends and families on company time.

Anthony Ardis, left; Paul Bazela in court earlier this month.

It is unknown if either defendant Anthony Ardis, of Paterson, and Northvale Mayor Paul Bazela will testify in their own defense. Summations in the week-long trial before state Superior Court Judge Joseph A. Portelli in Paterson are expected to be given on Tuesday.

Ardis, a former PVSC supervisor and ethics violations officer, and Bazela, a onetime PVSC carpentry shop foreman, are each charged with second-degree official misconduct, second-degree conspiracy, third-degree theft by unlawful taking and second-degree pattern of official misconduct. Second-degree crimes carry five to 10 years in prison, while third-degree crimes carry three to five years. If convicted, Bazela would be required to resign as mayor.

On two occasions, the state says, Ardis and Bazela breached the public trust by exploiting agency employees. In one instance, the state alleges, they dispatched workers to the Paterson home of Ardis' mother to remove wallboard in the garage. Another time, three workers allegedly were told to install wood panels and hook up a microwave at his mother's home. The indictment also alleges that Ardis used workers during their regular work shifts to replace air-conditioning units at his girlfriend's home.

Defense lawyers, meanwhile, had the two men pointing fingers at each other. Ardis' lawyer, Wayne attorney Gregory Aprile, suggested in his opening statement his client wasn't even aware of the work Bazela directed his carpenters and electricians to perform on company time.

Bazela's lawyer, Jersey City attorney Peter Willis, said his client was much lower in the chain of command than Ardis and was simply following his superior's commands.

Willis also argued at one point that because Ardis also served as the plants ethics violations officer, it left Bazela with an impossible choice: Follow his boss Ardis commands, or file a complaint with the plant ethics violations officer Ardis.

Ardis and Bazela were both arrested on Feb. 1, 2011, with Ardis being terminated shortly thereafter. Bazela already had lost his job as part of a shake-up at the commission ordered by Governor Christie in which more than 90 employees were fired. An indictment on the charges was handed up in June 2011.

Charged with Ardis and Bazela were Kevin Keogh, a former West Orange councilman who was superintendent of special services for the PVSC, and Chester Mazza of Totowa, a former assistant superintendent for special services.

Keogh, of Roseland, pleaded guilty in June 2012 to two counts of official misconduct and one count of conspiracy. He faces five years in prison when sentenced next month, and he will be ordered to pay $7,500 in restitution to the agency.

Keogh admitted before state Superior Court Assignment Judge Donald J. Volkert in Paterson that personal work was performed at his home by subordinates on several occasions between January 2005 and April 2007.

Mazza pleaded guilty in May 2012 before state Superior Court Judge Marilyn C. Clark in Paterson to theft by unlawful taking and was sentenced to probation. He admitted to two incidents in which an exterior wall was repaired and a roof vent was installed at his Totowa home.

Another Criminal Trial is in the works. Don't worry folks I will keep you informed when that starts. BRIDGEGATE will be far more than this shallow trial that has wasted taxpayer money on making a stupid point that this agency as a whole was corrupt which is SO NOT TRUE, with FOREST using smoke and mirrors to hide the truth as to what really happened to the 200 people that were thrown out like dogs and as a reward for Wayne Forest's reckless and heartless acts on working people the Governor gave him a JUDGESHIP. Its a shame that people will have to address him as YOUR HONOR The man isn't deserving of that TITLE.

Convictions mark end of Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission crackdown

Mondays conviction of Anthony Ardis and Paul Bazela of official misconduct, combined with earlier guilty pleas by two other supervisors at the Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission, marks the informal end of a shakeup at the agency that began three years ago and was inspired by Governor Christies anti-corruption crusade.

Ardis, 59, a former aide to U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell Jr. was a PVSC director, and Bazela, 47, who resigned Monday as Northvale mayor, was the carpenters supervisor at the PVSC. Both face mandatory prison terms after a jury in Passaic County found them guilty of using sewer agency employees as their personal handymen on company time.

Two other PVSC supervisors, Kevin Keogh of Roseland and Chester Mazza of Totowa, have already pleaded guilty to taking part in the handyman scam and await sentencing.

The four were charged in 2011 during Christies high-profile crackdown at the PVSC, a move that cast the governor as a corruption fighter on behalf of ratepayers. Bu three years later, Christie is mired in his own patronage scandal at the Port Authority. And the PVSC, which was heavily damaged by Super storm Sandy, has no working commission and therefore, no authority to bond and pay for an estimated $800 million in storm repairs.

The irony wasnt lost on Bazela, who used an expletive to describe the governor as he left the courtroom in Paterson on Monday. Chris Christie strikes again, he told a reporter. I hope he has as fair a trial as I had.

And one PVSC employee who asked not to be named said the trials didnt go over well with many of the rank-and-file at the sewerage agency, some of whom owed their jobs to political connections.

Ill bet nobody [at the PVSC] cheered when the verdict came in, the worker said.

The PVSC was top-heavy with redundant jobs when Christie swooped down in 2011, promising to rid it, and other agencies like it, of what he called political hacks driving up taxes and rates. First, he forced the resignation of Executive Director Bryan Christiansen, a former Edgewater water being paid more than $300,000 a year nearly twice Christies pay as governor.

Christie replaced Christiansen with Wayne J. Forrest, a retired Somerset County prosecutor, with orders to clean out the agency. To make that job easier, Christie forced the resignation of six of the seven PVSC commissioners, leaving only Kenneth J. Lucianin of Passaic in place.

With no commission in the way, the PVSC was operated by Christies Executive Order No. 55. Forrest moved swiftly to reorganize the PVSC, and by February 2011 a month after Christie went after the agency had eliminated 90 jobs and millions in payroll costs. Many of those jobs were considered pure patronage, held by elected officials and former officials, their wives and relatives in the counties of Bergen, Passaic, Hudson, and Essex, all served by the PVSC.

That same month, Ardis, Bazela, Keogh and Mazza were charged in the handyman scam after a probe by the state Attorney Generals Office. Mazza, 72, the former assistant superintendent of special services, pleaded guilty last May to fourth-degree theft by unlawful taking after admitting he had PVSC workers install a vent and build a stone wall at his Totowa home.

Keogh, 48, who was Mazzas boss, admitted using PVSC labor on many occasions at his home in Roseland. He pleaded guilty in June 2012 and awaits sentencing. The state has recommended a five-year prison term.

Get ready Director the attention is coming your way, a major newspaper has been looking into all the heartless and unethical happenings that have been going on at PVSC since Wayne Forest and this Governor threw 200 people out like dogs. You have a lot of explaining to do in how you have no wastewater experience and this plant is a comedy of errors with no end in sight and still not up and running. With Wayne Forest safely tucked away in a judgeship you will be in the end the one who will take the fall for this colossal failure. Obviously reading isnt one of your strong suits..i didnt work for PVSC, or any other Utility...nothing to do with the Bloated, Arrogant ass who is in Drumthwacket...... OR the Nightmare of Hudson County Corruption that has marked Harrison for decades. Republican or Democrat, Norcross sits and pulls the strings that drive this corrupt state .I put in my time, and got out. and now can sit back and laugh at people screaming over stupid nonsense like this. PVSC was doomed..it was only a matter of time before the Cronyism got so Blatant, SOMEONE would have to step in. Personally I was dissapointed that it was done this way, i would have been FAR more amused f it had been done by a Joint AG/USDOJ task force with a few dozen people doing the Perp Walk

Daily News article says everything that needs to be exposed about how this Governor used this plant as a patronage pit after he said how he was cleaning it up only to see a colossal failure in every area of operation with a Director with no wastewater experience what so ever. History will reflect what was done to the people that worked at PVSC and how it effected the operation of the plant with wastewater still flowing into our waterways. This Director is on the clock.
